Steve Soraparu

Steve is a Managing Director of Stifel and has 19 years of investment banking experience within the TMT industry. Steve is responsible for originating and leading the execution of advisory transactions on behalf of his telecom services clients.

During his career, Steve has completed over 50 advisory and financing transactions for companies in the competitive telecom, fiber, data center, ILEC, cable, wireless and tower sectors including: Comcast Corporation, LOGIX Communications, Enventis Corporation, Alpheus Communications, FiberGate Holdings, Cox Communications, Everest Communications, RCN Corporation, Q-Comm Corporation (Norlight), ColocationZone, U.S. Cellular, Covad Wireless, TruVista Communications, Atlantic Tele-Network, CenturyTel, Hector Communications and Vision Communications. Steve is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and has spoken most recently at INDATEL, Metro Connect USA and COMPTEL.

Prior to joining Waller Capital Partners in 2007, Steve was with Legg Mason Capital Markets for seven years where he executed transactions for clients across the converging sectors of telecommunications. Steve spent the first five years of his career at Price Waterhouse where he served primarily Fortune 500 clients both in strategic consulting and financial accounting capacities.

Steve graduated from the College of Commerce at the University of Illinois summa cum laude and received an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, Fuqua Scholar.
