Stephen Delaney

Stephen joined Stifel Canada in 2025 as Managing Director, Investment Banking and is based in the firm’s Toronto office. He brings 12 years of capital markets experience advising clients on corporate finance and M&A across a broad set of industries.

Prior to joining Stifel, Stephen served as Co-Head of Investment Banking at Eight Capital and has also held leadership roles at Beacon Securities, Paradigm Capital, and GMP Securities.

Stephen received his bachelor’s degree from Dalhousie University.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Stephen has demonstrated a strong commitment to the arts and community leadership. He has served on several boards and committees, including on the Board of Directors of the National Ballet of Canada, the Photography Curatorial Committee at the Art Gallery of Ontario, and the Board of Citadel and Company, where he served as chair for over 10 years. Stephen has been recognized for his philanthropic contributions to the arts and has been a recipient of the Arnold Edinborough Award.
