Sam Rothwell currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of Fixed Income Capital Markets.

Sam began his career in 2001, working as an assistant vice president at Credit Suisse before becoming an associate at Goldman Sachs. In 2009, he was recruited by Knight Capital to assist in establishing a European secondary trading business focusing on private-side products. Sam joined Stifel in 2013, through its acquisition of Knight Capital’s Fixed Income business. He offers a global perspective, having held key roles at Stifel in both New York and London.

Sam earned a bachelor’s degree in business studies from Massey University and a master’s in international business from the University of Auckland.
