Neal joined Stifel in 2010 and is a Managing Director in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group. Neal focuses on mergers and acquisitions in the Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical, Medical Technology, and Healthcare Services & Technology sectors. Neal has over 23 years of experience in healthcare investment banking.

Prior to joining Stifel, Mr. Karnovsky was at Cowen and Company in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group.  Prior to Cowen, Mr. Karnovsky was in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Wasserstein Perella.  Mr. Karnovsky has originated and executed a large number of transactions across a range of geographies and sectors, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, exclusive sales, collaborations / partnerships, fairness opinions, restructurings and other assorted defense and financial advisory assignments, in addition to both equity and debt financings.

Neal earned an MBA, Beta Gamma Sigma in Finance & Economics and Management from Columbia Business School and a B.A. cum laude in Roman History (with honors) and Economics from Columbia University.
