Nathaniel Stone

Nathaniel (Nat) Stone, Managing Director, is a founder of the Venture Banking team at Stifel Bank. Nat joined Stifel Bank in 2018 to launch Stifel’s Venture Banking efforts. He and his team focus on delivering commercial banking and lending solutions for venture, growth, and private equity-backed businesses nationally. Nat also manages sourcing, underwriting, and relationship management for the group’s portfolio.

Nat is an industry veteran, having worked his entire career in technology spanning, advisory, investment, and operational roles. Prior to Stifel, Nat was a senior originator and relationship manager at Square1 Bank in the New York Metro region.

Prior roles included technology investment banking and mergers & acquisitions at Citi, corporate strategy at Facebook (Meta), and software private equity at RUBICON Technology Partners. Nat graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Entrepreneurial Leadership from Tufts University.
