He brings extensive experience and key relationships in Mining, Diversified, Technology and a variety of other areas. Most recently, Matthew managed Northern Crown Capital, a boutique merchant bank, where he provided investment and advisory services to a broad group of clients and companies. Prior to that, Matthew was President of Canaccord Genuity where he had worked for 23 years.
During his career, he has been involved in raising over $17 Billion in debt and equity with over 1550 transactions, and has advised on over $3 billion in mergers and acquisitions. In addition, he managed and built high-performing capital market teams, which consistently were top of industry league tables and studies.
Matthew has earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Western University and an MBA from the Ivey School of Business. He also serves as Chair of the Lake of Bays Marine Museum and Navigational Society.
