Marco Basu

Marco Basu is a senior member of Stifel’s Healthcare Investment Banking Group, with a focus on outsourced pharma services and technology transactions. He specializes in M&A and capital raising, working closely with key stakeholders across a range of industry sub-verticals, including clinical trial enablement and optimization, patient engagement, pharma commercialization and regulatory.

Over the past 12 years, Marco has held increasingly senior roles in healthcare investment banking and leveraged finance. Most recently, he co-led the Pharma Services & Tech practice at Stout. Before this, he served as a Director in the Healthcare group at Lincoln International. Marco’s previous experience also includes roles at GE Capital Healthcare / Capital One and Baird. He began his professional career in the public accounting industry as a CPA at McGladrey & Pullen and Grant Thornton.

Marco holds a BA in Economics and an MS in Accountancy from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He also holds an MBA from the University of Michigan.
