Jon Forbes serves as Head of Stifel’s Public Finance Quantitative Group. With 30 years of experience, he brings municipal market expertise from three angles: investment banking, issuer, and financial software engineering. Jon spent the majority of his career in investment banking, having previously worked at Bear Stearns, Prudential Securities, UBS and JP Morgan, where he focused on the quantitative side, modeling some of the more complex financings totaling more than $30 billion.

In addition, Jon also worked as a Project Manager in the New Jersey Office of Public Finance and most recently as the Deputy State Treasurer for the State of Colorado. Furthermore, Jon worked for DBC, the premiere municipal financial software company, creating and implementing software for the municipal marketplace.
