Jeremy Newtson

Jeremy Newtson, Managing Director, serves in Stifel’s Chicago Public Finance office. Mr. Newtson focuses on issuers in the Midwest, Northeast, and other parts of the country and has provided banking coverage and quantitative expertise for over $9.2 billion of lead-managed transactions across a variety of credits and market conditions.

Mr. Newtson has significant experience leading deals for the States of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, the City of Chicago, Chicago Public Schools, Boston Housing Authority, and other large issuers. He has particular expertise in credit analysis, marketing tactics for new investors, and the specialized areas of pension liability management, securitizations (including tobacco, sales tax, and other revenue streams), and unemployment insurance trust funds.

Mr. Newtson received a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Chicago.
