Jeffrey Knupp

Jeff Knupp is a Managing Director in the Energy and Natural Resources Group. Mr. Knupp has extensive advisory and capital markets experience across the energy sector and focuses on clients in the Upstream Oil & Gas sector. 

Prior to joining Stifel in 2025, Mr. Knupp was the CFO of Koloma Resources, a renewable energy company focused on commercializing natural hydrogen through its proprietary technology and data. Prior to joining Koloma, Mr. Knupp was a Partner in Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co’s (TPH) energy practice, where he spearheaded the bank’s investment banking office in Denver. During his time at TPH, the energy division of Perella Weinberg Partners, Mr. Knupp advised on more than 40 transactions representing over $30 billion in value. He previously served as a petroleum engineer consultant for Netherland, Sewell & Associates. Prior to that, Mr. Knupp was an exploitation engineer at Merit Energy Company. He began his career at ExxonMobil Development Company as a reservoir engineer.

Jeff received an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin – McCombs School of Business and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.
