Greg MacDonald

As member of the Stifel Canada Executive Committee and Director of Research, Greg MacDonald is responsible for leading Stifel Canada’s Research team.  Greg brings 30 years of experience in equity research and key relationships in global buyside firms.

Before joining Stifel, Greg ran an independent equity research product focused on under-covered small and mid cap stocks. Prior to that, he spent 9 years as Managing Director and Head of Research in Canada for Macquarie Capital. Independent client surveys such as Brendan Wood ranked Greg’s research product as Top Gun multiple years. His product was also ranked top 3 in sector stock picking by Starmine multiple years, and in 2006 he was ranked #1 overall large cap stock pickier amongst all Canadian analysts.

Greg holds a B.A. in Economics from University of Guelph, a MBA from Queen’s University and is a CFA charterholder.
