David Collins

David is a Managing Director in the Financial Sponsors Group, focused on covering lower, middle market private equity funds. David has more than 15 years of investment banking experience providing strategic advice for companies across multiple sectors, including technology, aerospace & defense, government services, industrials, mortgage REITS, insurance, and financial services. He has led and executed a broad range of transactions, including sell sides, buy sides, IPOs, private placements, secondaries/follow-ons, convertible debt financings, and high yield offerings.

Before joining Stifel in 2016, David was a Vice President in the investment banking group at FBR Capital Markets. Prior to FBR, David served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy, including tours on the USS Simpson (FFG-56), USS San Jacinto (CG-56), and the Pentagon (Office of the Secretary of the Navy - White House Liaison Officer).

David received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. from the United States Naval Academy.
