David Collins

David Collins is a Managing Director in the Financial Sponsors Group and focuses on covering lower-middle market private equity funds.

David has more than 20 years of investment banking experience providing strategic advice for companies across multiple sectors, including technology, aerospace & defense, government services, industrials, mortgage REITS, insurance, and financial services. He has led and executed a broad range of transactions, including sell sides, buy sides, IPOs, private placements, secondaries/follow-ons, convertible debt financings, and high yield offerings.

Before joining Stifel in 2016, David was a Vice President in the investment banking group at FBR Capital Markets. Prior to FBR, David served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy, including tours on the USS Simpson (FFG-56), USS San Jacinto (CG-56), and the Pentagon (Office of the Secretary of the Navy - White House Liaison Officer).

David received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. from the United States Naval Academy.
