Craig Zaph

Craig is a Managing Director in the Leveraged Finance Group. Craig’s expertise includes origination, structuring, and syndication of high yield and leveraged loans (both private placement and broadly syndicated, committed and best efforts) for first time issuers, sponsor driven leveraged buyouts, refinancing’s, complex recapitalizations, exchanges, liability management, restructurings, special situations, and exit financings.

Craig joined Stifel in July 2019. Prior to joining Stifel, Craig was at Cowen for two and half years as Head of Leveraged Finance and Debt Capital Markets, and before that at Jefferies for over eighteen years, most recently as Head of Energy and Shipping Leveraged Finance, and prior to that Head of Origination in the Leveraged Finance Group. Craig has completed transactions across a broad range of industries, including Energy (E&P, Oil Field Services, Midstream), Industrials, Healthcare, Media & Telecom, Shipping, Consumer, Aerospace & Defense, Transportation, Technology, Gaming, and Power.

Craig has an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BComm from the University of British Columbia.
