Clifford joined Stifel through the acquisition of Bryan, Garnier & Co in 2025 where he was Chairman, a position he had held since 2020. He previously served as a Partner between 2020-2022.

Prior, he was Vice Chairman of Stifel Europe, which acquired his trading and investment banking boutique, ISM Capital, in 2016. Cliff was also previously CEO of Jefferies International for 15 years. A seasoned leader in global finance, he has played a key role in shaping the European investment banking landscape, advising on numerous high-profile transactions. He has also been actively involved in initiatives aimed at fostering cross-border investment and capital markets development.

He earned his BBA from the University of Michigan.
