Charlie Sides

Mr. Sides is a Managing Director in Stifel’s Baton Rouge office with over 20 years of public finance experience. During this time he has been involved in bond financings totaling over $18 billion, serving as lead banker on a variety of financings for cities, parishes, counties, school districts, universities, ports, airports, public utilities, state agencies, special finance districts and corporations throughout Louisiana and Mississippi.

He has also served as a lead advocate and been instrumental in the passage of favorable legislation and financial regulations for bond issuers in Louisiana. Prior to his career in public finance, Mr. Sides practiced law in Washington, D.C., both in private practice and with the United States General Services Administration with a focus on administrative law and government relations.

He is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, and is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association. He maintains Series 7, 50, 53 and 63 licenses.
