Charles Hoare

Charles is a Managing Director and Co-Head of European Healthcare Investment Banking at Stifel. Charles focuses on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising across the entire healthcare space, but with particular expertise in life sciences, specialty pharmaceuticals and animal health.

Charles has almost 20 years of experience in healthcare investment banking. Prior to joining the firm, he was Managing Director and Head of Global Healthcare at Commerzbank. He spent most of his career at Merril Lynch where he was the Managing Director responsible for the Northern European healthcare business and the animal health franchise. He serves as Chairman of the Bulldog Trust, Chairman of Chariot Innovations Limited (the commercialisation arm of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine), and is a Non-executive Director of Atlantic Healthcare Plc, Placehill Limited and Laguna Ventures Limited.

Charles earned an M.A. (Oxon) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford.
