Charles Hoare is a Managing Director and Head of European Healthcare Investment Banking at Stifel. He focuses on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising across the entire healthcare space, with a particular expertise in life sciences, specialty pharmaceuticals and animal health.

Charles has nearly 30 years of experience in healthcare investment banking. Prior to joining Stifel, he was a Managing Director and Head of Global Healthcare at Commerzbank. Before this, he spent most of his career at Merril Lynch, where he was responsible for the Northern European healthcare business and animal health franchise.

Charles is the Chairman of the Bulldog Trust, a charitable foundation focused on creating opportunities and second chances for talented individuals, and a Non-Executive Director of Diesse Diagnostics S.p.A., Placehill Limited and Laguna Ventures Limited. He earned an M.A. (Oxon) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford.
