Celedonio Moncayo

Cele is Managing Director at Stifel Nicolaus Europe and heads the Packaging, Paper and Forest Products franchise. He has over 21 years of experience in corporate finance of which the last 15 have been focused exclusively in the sector.

He has significant transaction experience and has advised privately and publicly held companies and financial sponsors on a variety of transactions globally. He has successfully completed over 50 transactions with an overall transaction value over EUR 10 bn, acting as M&A buy-side and sell-side advisor in stand-alone and complex carve-out situations as well as in restructuring cases.

Most recently he advised Bain Capital in its EUR 2.2 bn acquisition of Ahlstrom Munksjo and helped Graphic Packaging on its roll-up of strategy in the folding carton sector successfully advising them in four acquisitions in Europe. He has also sold privately held packaging assets in the plastics and fibre space and has a wealth of transaction experience in the graphic / specialty paper and forest product sectors (including forestland) globally. Cele was previously a Managing Director Poyry Capital.
