Bryan Huskey joined Stifel when it acquired Merchant Capital, LLC in 2014. Mr. Huskey has over 25 years of public finance experience, bringing a multi-faceted background as investment banker, financial advisor, credit ratings analyst, and municipal staffer. Mr. Huskey has facilitated for his clients a variety of financings and securitizations, including: utilities, parking, stormwater, public/private partnerships, federal grant-in-aid securitizations, convention center hotel development, high-technology and incubator development, impact fee and fee-in-lieu-of-tax transactions, and general governmental bonds.

Mr. Huskey’s recognized expertise as a credit analyst has resulted in numerous ratings upgrades for his clients that have enabled more effective primary market access. Prior to joining Merchant Capital, Mr. Huskey managed the Atlanta office of a regional municipal financial advisory firm, working with various entities in Georgia, Florida, and the Carolinas. Mr. Huskey also previously worked at Fitch Ratings, a New York-based rating agency, where he evaluated the credit worthiness of numerous tax-supported and project revenue transactions throughout the southeast and southwest United States.

Mr. Huskey earned a B.A. from the University of South Carolina and a Masters of Public Administration degree from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. Mr. Huskey holds FINRA Series 7, Series 50, and Series 63 licenses and is an active member of the International City/County Management Association and the National Federation of Municipal Analysts.
