Bob Casillas

Bob Casillas joined Stifel in 2011 as a Managing Director. He has worked in municipal finance since 1984, beginning his career with another investment banking firm. He has broad municipal finance experience throughout that time with service to school districts, cities, towns, special taxing districts, counties, and state agencies mainly in Arizona and New Mexico. His assignments have covered a vast spectrum of legal and financial structures, and he has particular expertise with general obligation, revenue, special assessment and education technology bonds and notes for school districts, cities, towns, and special districts. Mr. Casillas has had a significant role in Stifel’s success in Arizona and New Mexico, and assists the Phoenix office banking team, which routinely closes between 50-75 deals a year.

Over his career, Mr. Casillas has managed well over $5 billion in municipal bond issues. Mr. Casillas has been a supporter of various foundations and professional organizations in Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado, including the Boys & Girls Club, the Southwest Leadership Program, the Arizona League of Cities and Towns, the Arizona City Managers Association, the Arizona and New Mexico School Board Association, the Arizona Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents and the Arizona and New Mexico School Business Officials Organization, to name a few.

Mr. Casillas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management, a Master’s degree in Business Administration, a Juris Doctorate degree from Arizona State University, and maintains FINRA Series 7, 50, 53, and 63 registrations.
