Ben Tompkins

Ben Tompkins is Head of Stifel's European Technology Investment Banking practice in London. He joined Stifel in 2020, bringing more than three decades of experience working with European high-growth technology companies as both an advisor and venture capital investor. While at Stifel, he has focused primarily on cloud-based software and software applications supporting financial institutions, e-commerce, AI and data analytics, and consumer markets.

Prior to joining Stifel in 2020, Ben was Managing Partner at Molten Ventures plc (fka Draper Esprit), the LSE-quoted evergreen fund.  Molten’s portfolio included companies such as Graphcore, Aircall, Trustpilot, UIPath, Form3, Wise and Revolut.  Prior to joining Molten, he was General Partner at Eden Ventures, an early stage enterprise software VC investor whose portfolio companies were exited to strategic acquirers such as Oracle, Apple, Vonage, Sage and Amdocs.

Ben’s investment banking experience includes 12 years at Broadview International where he was Managing Director and Co-head of the Global Software, Services & Media Group and was one of the partners who sold the firm to Jefferies in 2004.

Ben is a Barrister and has a Business Law degree.
