Ted Tutun

Ted Tutun joined Stifel as a Managing Director in the Financial Sponsor Group in New York in 2019 and was promoted to head of large cap coverage in 2024.  Ted’s focus is on mid and large cap financial sponsors primarily based in Boston and New York.

Ted has over 25 years of investment banking experience having built his career around delivering creative strategic ideas and innovative financing solutions to his strongest mid and large cap Boston and New York based financial sponsor relationships.  Before joining Stifel, Ted helped drive results and build the financial sponsor groups at Jefferies and Cowen.  Earlier in his career, Ted helped build and lead the automotive parts teams at CIBC, Bank of America and Credit Suisse.  Ted has worked on over 300 transactions totaling over $80 billion in value on a wide range of equity, debt and advisory transactions for his clients.  In the past five years, Mr. Tutun has successfully executed 20+ sell-side transactions worth over $10 billion and 30 debt financings exceeding $50 billion. Mr. Tutun graduated with honors from Harvard College and has an MBA from Columbia Business School.
