René Locher joined as a Senior Equity Analyst in April 2011. He is the Head of the Zurich-based Analyst team and his main focus is on the Financial Services, Insurance and Real Estate sector.

René has 25 years of experience on the sell-side equity brokerage. Prior to joining Stifel, he worked as a sell-side Analyst with UBS, Kepler Cheuvreux and Sal. Oppenheim, covering the Financial sector (Insurance, Diversified Financials, Real Estate).

He started his professional career with a Swiss insurance company, where he was country controller for both UK and Netherlands for more than six years.
