Larry Phillips

Larry Phillips is Head of Stifel's Technology Investment Banking practice in the U.S. based in New York. He joined Stifel in 2019 through the acquisition of Mooreland Partners, where he was a co-founder. He brings over 30 years of experience in technology investment banking as well as experience as an operating executive and investor.  He has executed over 100 M&A and financing transaction in technology with a focus today on application software and Internet marketplaces and services.

Prior to joining Mooreland in 2004, Larry worked at various investment banking firms, including Brown Brothers Harriman and Unterberg Harris. In addition, he held general management roles at the media holding company PRIMEDIA, where he launched and ran the company's interactive division, and subsequently started and ran an in-house corporate venture fund. He has also served as CEO and CFO at several technology startup companies and has served on many public and private companies' boards.

Larry earned an A.B. from Cornell University, where he graduated with Distinction in Mathematics and Physics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
