Mr. Murdock has 30 years of municipal finance experience and possesses an extensive portfolio representing a variety of municipal issuers in the state of Utah, in the Intermountain West, and the Midwest.
During his career, Mr. Murdock has served as lead banker and municipal advisor to some of the largest issuers in the state of Utah and the Intermountain West, and has worked on more than $5 billion of tax-exempt, taxable, and variable-rate municipal transactions for a variety of issuers. He has also served as underwriter or municipal advisor for several higher education institutions, including the University of Utah, where he assisted the institution with the issuance of more than $1 billion in revenue bond offerings. Prior to becoming an investment banker, Mr. Murdock served in key staff positions on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., for both U.S. Senator Orrin G. Hatch and Congressman James V. Hansen. During his years in Washington, D.C., Mr. Murdock also worked as Director of the State of Utah's Washington, D.C., office, serving as a member of the Utah governor's staff, and as the key liaison between the State of Utah, the Utah congressional delegation, and various agencies and departments within the federal government.
Mr. Murdock holds a bachelor's degree in Organizational Communications from the University of Utah and an MBA from George Washington University.
