Jeffrey Zylstra

Jeff Zylstra joined the Michigan Public Finance Office in July 2015 after serving as Managing Director and lead banker at two previous public finance firms in Michigan since 1998. Mr. Zylstra has over 21 years of public finance experience. Mr. Zylstra focuses primarily on long-term K-12 public school capital financings and has managed hundreds of bond financings for Michigan issuers in his 20-plus year career.

Mr. Zylstra is affiliated with several professional organizations, both nationally and in Michigan, including the Michigan School Business Officials, the Michigan Association of Superintendents and Administrators, the Michigan Association of School Boards, the Michigan Community College Business Officers Association and the Michigan Government Finance Officers Association. Additionally, Mr. Zylstra is active on numerous boards and is involved in his community with his family.

Jeff received his B.A. Business Administration and Economics degree from Hope College in Holland, Michigan. He is Series 7, 50, 53 and 63 licensed.
