James Schroder

Jim joined Stifel through its 2019 acquisition of Mooreland Partners and is a senior member of the Software team. He has more than 20 years of software and technology investment banking experience gained in Silicon Valley, New York, and London.

Before joining Mooreland, Jim was a Partner at Arma Partners and led their U.S. technology M&A business in Palo Alto for nearly a decade. Prior to this, he was a Senior Software Coverage Banker at Lehman Brothers in Menlo Park and London, where he focused on M&A, cross-border M&A, and capital markets transactions for large and mid cap software companies.

Jim earned an MBA from Yale University and a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, where he graduated with Merit and completed a post-graduate program in nuclear engineering before serving as a fast-attack nuclear submarine officer in the U.S. Navy.
