Prior to joining Stifel, Mr. Skene was a Managing Director, Diversified Industries with National Bank Financial in Toronto, and prior to that, was a senior member of the mergers and acquisitions advisory team at Canaccord Genuity. Mr. Skene has over 20 years of experience in the global capital markets, and has advised on some of the largest and most complex merger and acquisition transactions in Canada and internationally. Mr. Skene’s experience spans investment banking, private equity and corporate strategy and acquisitions.
Mr. Skene has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Chemical Engineering, Economics Minor) from the University of Waterloo. Additionally, Mr. Skene has an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He is currently the Chair of the Board of Governors at St. Mildred’s Lightbourn School for girls in Oakville, Ontario.
