Prior to joining Stifel, Derrick was a Managing Director at GMP Securities, where he led the U.S. exploration & production research team. Derrick also spent three years on the sell-side as a Research Analyst at Canaccord Genuity. Derrick received a B.S. in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University and an MBA from Cornell University. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
