David M. Gray

David is a Vice Chairman in Investment Banking focused on Industrials. He is responsible for corporate client relationships in business services, environmental services, and industrial services sectors. David has completed over 140 strategic advisory and financing transactions worth more than $150 billion for clients in these sectors over the past twenty years.

In his thirty plus year investment banking career, David has worked closely with clients on a broad range of strategic advisory and financing transactions. Prior to joining Stifel in December 2012, he was a Managing Director and Senior Advisor at Credit Suisse where he was head of the Global Industrial & Environmental Services Investment Banking team. Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 2006, David was head of Deutsche Bank’s Global Business and Industrial Services Investment Banking team. He joined Alex. Brown & Sons in 1989 which was acquired by Bankers Trust in 1997 which, in turn, was acquired by Deutsche Bank in 1999. Prior to joining Alex. Brown, David worked for Robertson, Colman & Stephens, Bain & Company and Citibank.

David received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.A. Harvard College.
