Alex Motherwell

Alex Motherwell joined Stifel Canada in 2020 and is responsible for Institutional Equity Sales distribution of Canadian product into Europe and Asia-Pacific. Previously, he was a Vice President, Institutional Equity Sales at Canaccord Genuity in New York, responsible for growing the Canadian platform throughout the United States.

 Earlier in his career, Alex was an Associate at Macquarie Capital, focused on Metals and Mining Investment Banking. Alex’s industry experience includes Equity Research at RBC Capital Markets.

He received an HBA from Ivey Business School in Finance and a B.Sc. (Hons) minor specialization in Medical Sciences from Western University. Former Board Member of the New York Wine and Food Society. Alex is an active supporter of Special Olympics Canada.
